Where did you get your blue lug nuts? Thinking they would look good with my black wheels and blue Kings.

Just run 33-35 and you’ll be fine. The arguments people will have over 1psi is stupid.

    How is the rubbing?

How bad was the cutting and heating/molding?

I am splitting hairs between buying a set of 285/75/17 or a 285/70/17.

I do wheel, so clearance under full articulation is a must for me

I did CMC, pinch weld cutting, fender well cutting, proper alignment with caster forward. I have about two extra inches of lift on the front with Fox coilovers. And my wheels are SCS F5 with -12mm offset.

All that said, I have no rubbing in this configuration. Granted, I haven't yet put the wheels at full compression. Anyway, before all of these mods combined, I did have rubbing. So, to get rid of rubbing all of the above were required.

Just hit 25k on my 265/70r16 4Ss - have measured no real wear in the last 10k miles. Still about 10/32nds all around and wearing evenly. I have noticed as they have broken in more, they like to be run w/ a bit more air than initially. I run them about 33 cold, heat up to 36-38 depending on temp swings during the day and ride great.

I am hard on tires. Very hard. I like to drive fast around tight corners in the mountains (well, fast in a pickup truck, loaded down sense...) but in any event I typically replace my tires every 30k even when tread left b/c I can tell performance degradation when cornering = more body roll and less confidence. Not with these. Just as good as new.

I have no doubt I'll easily get 50k out of these tires - which means it's highly likely they are the only tire this truck will ever see from here on out. Incredible in the rain, fantastic in the snow, functional in mud, bites well on rocky terrain, handles tight, rides smooth, with very little road noise. There are sexier looking tires, sure, but hard for me to rationalize a better all around tire for the money!

Yours is an old post but I have to agree with it. I bought my Taco from my dad and it had MS/2's on it. He put them on per my recommendation. Those tires are incredible for the conditions you state that you drive in. I've got Cooper ATW's on now. My problem is that I have to drive in deep snow and really sloppy clay mud during the winter and that's why I'm here reading about a tire with a more aggressive tread pattern. Most of my driving is on the interstate to and from work but the interstate here can turn into an "off road" drive with the snow and the slush. Then there is the mud every year when everything thaws out. Including the parking lot where I work.

Three of my local shops told me 2-3 weeks for any Discoverer AT3...very sad. I'm settling on General Grabber AT2 as my current tires are bald and will be installed Friday. I shouldn't have procrastinated.

Ordered a single cooper at3 XLT 285/75r17 tire today from discount tire direct. Said it will be here in 2-3 days. Tirecrawler.com has 10% off and discount tire direct price matched it over chat. Actually beat tirecrawlers price by a little bit. Here is the link. https://tirecrawler.com/shop/detail...0Mfgh2dEp1pAmnMpz7jmoOqzdevuRH6xoCMg4QAvD_BwE

Don’t forget Amazon too. I had my Coopers shipped to alaska with prime free shipping for about 2/3 the price of local shops here in Fairbanks. They got here in a few days.

I try to buy from small businesses whenever possible. The pricing the shop I’m going to was very competitive and cheaper on a couple of tires I looked at. Still love Cooper. If this set doesn’t work out to my liking I’ll be making another purchase and they will be Coopers.

Same but local shops wanted $80 more a tire. NOPE. Not spending $400 more to support a local business.
