Cooper gets my vote for most tire for the money. I've run run the AT3's on multiple vehicles for 55,000 miles. They could have gone longer, but I'm not one to wear them down to the legal minimum. They've never failed me in mud, snow or sand. Hwy ride is smooth and quiet. They will develop flat spots if the truck is parked and not driven for a few days. But smooth out after a few miles.

What tires do you have on currently? I really like the way the ones you have on now look.

I highly recommend AMP Off-Road A/T Pro. I switched from BFG and couldn't be happier. Have about 15K miles on them. They balance great, off-road they are as good OR better than BFG's, and unlike BFG's they grip the road very well, even in the rain.

    Like, so many.
I’m really digging my Ridge Grapplers. I switched from the Terra Grapplers because I was moving to 285s and wanted something more aggressive. They are pretty quiet on road and they’ve handled hill climbs and mud with no issues.

Look at Michelin LTX A/T 2s - run smooth and balance well with 60K warranty. Good all around tire and quiet, good in rain, snow, and dig well in the dirt. On second set now. Drove FL to AK on them. They do throw a lot of gravel. Good bite on slippery boat ramps too. All depends what you want to do with tires and what look you want. The mud tires look great but if you do lots of high speed driving they will drive you nuts with noise.

Gen III here so sorry to crash your thread. BFGs have always been good to me. I did have one a while back that would not balance well but he warrantied it with a new one so that’s ultimately a plus for me. Better on snow than I expected.

Are you running these now Muddog? Got showy pic with them on the 09? There’s great deal on these locally and I like what I’m reading but don’t want to lose character on the truck. Would love to see.

I like Nitto Trail Grapplers (top pic) and BFG KO2s (bottom pic). I think they look the most aggressive/off-roady

Yeah these are definitely the two best looking tires in my opinion, I’ve just never ran either of them and when I’m spending that type of money I’d like to be sure I made the right choice.

I've always run KO2s on all my trucks (2012 taco, 2018 taco, 2019 taco) and really like them, they're not loud and the ride is nice. I'll probably try the nittos next time just for kicks

Haha love the build man, and Yeah snow is something that I’ll need to take into account cause I’m about to have to deal with a lot of it in Colorado.

Do you have to deal with a lot of snow where you live? If so how do the BFG’s hold up.

Yeah I live in UT and we get a decent amount each year. I've never had any issues or complaints

I’ve been running Falken Wildpeak A/T3W for nearly 20k miles. They have been through tons of desert, rocks, mud, and finally a good deal of snow this year. They are severe snow rated and handled way better than I anticipated in the snow and icy roads.

They are comparable to the KO2s in looks but are very quiet for the aggressive look. They are comfortable on highways and with a beefed up sidewall I feel very confident on them when rolling a hundred miles away from anything.

There were a few reasons why I went with them over KO2S. The first being their snow rating, second Falken’s 50k warranty, and lastly I liked That they were quiet on the highway (sadly I drive pavement for the vast majority of my miles). They are a little cheaper than the KO2S, but I don’t consider that when buying tires.

That being said I know a ton of people running KO2S and Grapplers and they all have nothing but love for their tires. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those.
