My back up camera is down...

So I just Installed my ECO grill from BAMF, Ill post pics later. I also installed my new safety feature, 6 way turn, reverse and brake strip light. I am not ti savy on wiring so now my backup camera is non existant. Can anyone assist? Thanks

 

What did you use for power on your strip light? Perhaps the backup camera power? Go back and double check all your connections and make sure you didn't trap into the backup circuit...

 

So I literally just hooked up the four pin trailer connector withe the connector. I then attached the red wire to the reverse light and the white wire to the DRL in the taillight.

 

I think by using that it takes the camera feature out. You may need to do the back up anytime mod.

Sounds like tapping into the reverse light might be the culprit. Disconnect it and see if that fixes it. Then you'll know...

 

I was hoping not having to make a switch for this mini mod.

Just a thought. Would a diode in the reverse wire of the strip light help?

It keeps the current to flow only one direction

I'm dumb and blind! I forgot to plug back in the back up camera to the truck when I took off the tailgate. Now everything is working just fine. Im just glad that the wiring I did worked. Thank you all for the help. I really like this sight, it is definitely helping me figure stuff out from choosing the next MOD to How to install the MOD.
