Greased the drive shaft, what a PITA but what a what a difference. Probably the 1st time at 91K. Next up AC idler and compressor bearing. Sounds like someone is shaking a box of sparrows under the hood when the AC compressor is engaged.

I did this in my driveway and didn’t have a problem accessing the zirks. Used a mini grease gun and moved the truck a couple inches forward to get them where I could clean them and attach the grease gun. Getting the grease gun off of the zirks was a tie-dyed bitch. Needed 14” channel locks

I find just moving the hose on the grease gun back and forth several times while pulling gets it to pop off eventually. But yeah sometimes that bastard just doesn't want to let go

Gotta be a classic case of the wife telling her husband he needs to sell the truck, so he lists it at a crazy price and tells her 'sorry honey, no one wants to buy it' lol

Not sure how necessary this ATF filter is but shouldn't hurt ether. :)

Info on this? I'm getting ready to change my trans filter next weekend and I wouldn't be opposed to adding a secondary filter.

Derale makes a nice kit I plan on running. Uses a spin on filter and has threaded holes for a trans temp sensor.

I decided to install this MAGNEFINE filter because I had the tranny pan off for a few days and it got a little windy. Figured some dust and grit got on the oily surfaces even though I covered the valve body pretty well. The MAGNEFINE has a filter element that removes none ferrous particles also.

I welded a tab to the frame that had a nut welded to the back side. The 2 1/4" strap clamp was purchased from McMaster-Carr. The MAGNEFINE filter has a 2 1/8" OD so the clamp needed to be redrilled and shortened about .320" to hold the filter tight. The hose spring clamps are OEM parts from the dealer.
