If I get a Taco over a Ranger or Canyon it will be to join the 1 million mile club. I’m not sure all the electronics my phone already provides and the crawl control gear hunting problems will get me there with the TRD off-road. The Canyon has a better interior and the Ranger is turbocharged. Both have vastly superior sound system but the Taco gets a sunroof and doesn’t need a bed liner. The Ford doesn’t have a crew and 6 foot bed option. There’s also rumors Toyota has started using its reputation for reliability and suckering people into buying cheaper made products. Nervous for the purchase and leaning towards GMC unless you guys can talk me out of it.

It's your money, get what you want. All 3 vehicles have pros and cons but inarguably the Tacoma will have the best resell value bar none

Buy what fits your needs, not what a bunch of yahoos on the internet think.... we are biased, at least most of us are. There have been good and bad things about all 3 trucks and that minivan thing called a ridgline

Put it this way, there are multiple Toyota trucks that have reached 1 million miles. GMC doesn’t have any and Ford only has 1 or 2

I traded my 50k mile 2014 GMC to get my Tacoma and I am very happy . Toyota still makes a great vehicle no matter what you heard .

Because Toyota's are bitchen. Go mod that Canyon and make sure you budget for a new transmission. Good luck OP.

    I've had a 4x4 87 Toyota truck 5spd, 1973 FJ40 Landcruiser, 87 Toyota 4runner 5spd, 95 Tacoma 4x4 5spd, 2000 landcruiser, 1978 FJ40 Landcruiser, 1999 Landcruiser, 2012 GMC 4x4 Sierra, 2017 Silverado and just went back to a 2017 4x4 Toyota Tacoma with a 4cyclinder and 5spd - hard to beat a toyota. The GMC and Chevy were comfy but seemed like they wouldn't be something you'd want to own after 100k.

It's closer to the center console a by an inch or two. Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon are like it

Look around as you drive around and take notice of how many 20 year old GMC vehicles you see on the road. I’ve owned 3 GMC vehicles going back over 30 years and they were all crap. What I would call Mickey Mouse engineering. They’re shiny and look good when new but don’t last. My last GM product was a 2012 GMC Yukon Denali for my wife. What a turd!! The dash completely fell apart, door handles would cut your hands - falling apart, transmission would slam when changing gears, just a shit show top to bottom. Buy whatever you like but I’ve found GM quality to be severely lacking. I’d buy a Ford long before a GM product but I really like Toyota. For transparency, we traded the Yukon for a 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum and it’s so much better than the GMC.
