So I just installed HID headlights on my tacoma. As the title states they're flickering, and half of the lights cut out when switched to high beam. Also i've lost the blue indicator on the instrument cluster when high beams are on. I've read a lot of threads that suggest to disable the drl's, and I would but truck doesnt have them:annoyed:. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Its driving me nuts!!!!:help:

The high beam indicator is lost is normal,
You need to install an inline resistor on one light or the other.

    Then it will come back,
I did this but my resistor was so dam hot it would burn my skin if I touched it,
So instead of worrying about a fire I just live without the high beam indicator

Any ideas on how to stop the flickering and to get them to fully function?

Aside from the issue you're having, please tell me you're using projectors and not your standard reflective housings.

A lot of guys retrofit their stock enclosures (something done on tons of different vehicles).

Most times, they modify an extra set they either picked up used, or bought new, to keep their current set of lights installed.

HID's, in a reflected housing meant for halogens, are only going to blind and piss people off and will get you pulled over.
