I wonder how much quieter you could get it if you added some sound deadener?

Yeah I’m going to order some sound deadener like dynamat on Amazon but dang that stuff is expensive.

Has no one done an install video still? Searched and couldn’t find one.

Maybe because it takes a couple hours to do, and nobody wants to do all that “camera work” and editing that would be involved. The included instructions are pretty darn fine, and if you have any questions you can always fall back on the community for help.

A little bit more than it is now. I did it. Also use SOFT rubber "grommet-like" washers between anywhere you're screws go, and lithium grease where linkages are. This will be the best you can do. And queiter it won't have the umph or force needed to shift mechanically and do what it needs to do, so the rest falls on your creativity!

This is what I bought, good for the price, quantity and great reviews. Just enough to do the job!

    UPDATE:

Hello People...If you have placed an order and I have not shipped to you, especially a full kit, and you are interested in a Tailgate Opener Package when it releases, please send me a PM so that I can make a note on the first page with like a HOLD note or something because if it were me, I would wait until the next package is released and just pay the additional amount and get both the Lock and Opener Kit Combo. However, if you want the kit now and you’ve waited long enough, and trust me I get it, then I can send the Orders as they are right now. I’m just trying to put it out there that there will be some changes in the near future.

I understand people are waiting on their Kits. This weekend I’m doing a huge wiring project on my own truck that I have been putting off for a long long time but the Taco people have been waiting a long long time for the power folding mirrors as well and it’s time I give them some love as well. I am doing some testing on some wiring harnesses for the power folding mirrors most likely tomorrow bc it’s taking all freaking day Wiring up all the gizmos in my mirrors and getting all the stinking wires through the door grommet. Good lord! It’s getting there tho. Just figuring out how I want this and that wires during the process as well. Looks as tho my New Side Blind Spot Cameras are in need of a GND & 12V+

Really interested in the 3x unlock tailgate opener.
I have the old Pop-n-Lock system though, would it be a simple add on?

Also looking forward to that BSC power folding mirror.

Yeah. There will be ways. Here’s an idea of what I’m looking at for the new Tailgate Lock / Tailgate Opener Package Wiring Diagram

    DDE1ED1B-9E62-4651-8892-2AA05C547CFE.jpg

The (2) Twin Bullet Connectors at the top that you see do not come on the PNP Harness as of right now because the PNP Harnesses were already being assembled at the time. That is something that I’m looking into purchasing to make it easier for everyone to make these connections. Don’t get misled by the wires being different lengths and going different directions. It’s a drawing. All of the wires will be going the same place, the Passenger Kick Panel.

    Changes Made:
    • You need 2 Actuators
    • You need 2 BNL - Bracket & Rods (Release of the 2nd BNL Coming Soon)
    Sneak Peak

    A8F6A652-D534-4646-8F77-36847B20FF9A.jpg
    • Integrated Harness Pre-made Hopefully for Faster Shipping w/ some sort of distinction between Lock/Opener Mods because there will be 4 wires, not 2.
    • PNP Harness w/ GND, 12V+, LOCK, UNLOCK.
