I’m thinking about swapping my OEM one out for something like a roll up.

True. But by that standard- a window can be broken, a lock can be picked, and a hard shell can be pried out of the way. Hidden from view adds security

where did you get those fork mounts? I'm trying to find a way to secure my bike in the bed instead of having it on my tailgate.

Rocky mounts makes one that locks. You put your through axle in it and it enclosed around it and locks. You can buy mine if you want. Comes with 2 keys. PM me if you’re interested

North Mountain. It was less than 200 dollars from Amazon.

I like how far it tucks up against the cab. Mine has a large bar that interferes with my rocky mount

Yea, I was looking for a cheap solution and went to the bed covers sub forum here. I saw some people using this cover and for the most part was all good. I got it because it was cheap and I needed something quick, and I was expecting to upgrade within a year. Well, after having it on and seeing how it works for me and the quality is pretty good, I think it will last for a few years. I've had it on for 6 months now and several trips on the highway, both rolled up and rolled out. It is holding up quite well. It has exceeded my expectations for the price I paid.

I agree with others that don’t consider soft tonneaus ‘secure’ One of the reasons I bought a RuggedCover2 hard tonneau was that it can be completely removed in about 2 mins leaving only 4 small, aluminum brackets in the bed rails. Cost me about $800 though.....‘Cheap’ considering it’s going on a $40k truck......’Expensive’ if I was putting it on a 20 year old beater.

Guys... I ended up ordering a Softopper with mesh door. I will have relocate the bike mounts but the biggest reason for getting a soft top is being able to take my dog anywhere care free. Thanks for all the help.

I've got the OEM Tri-Fold soft top. Easy to remove and you could even throw it in the back seat.

    WIN!

Dammit! Just my luck, I'm only an hour away, and after looking for a couple months, gave up and ordered one. I got tired of piling crap in the back.

How does that Velcro hold up?

Very well actually. I have been on the highway with it at 70 mph and it flopped around a little bit in the middle. Then I adjusted the tension screws to make it tighter and resolved that issue. But the Velcro never let go, always stayed hooked.
When rolled up it is held in place with the strap and buckle, so no worries there.

Just bought the Tyger tri-fold off of Amazon, took a chance on a warehouse deal for $175 - showed up as brand new. Looks nice and could easily remove it in a few minutes. I'll sell it on FB once I find a camper shell but it will definitely do for now.

    I have the Tyger trifold...

First impressions were a bit skeptical... Just the fasteners.. They are a bit chintzy..

    But they have held up...

Ive had it through a harsh winter and its pretty durable..

The tarp is holding up really well.. And is still very snug.. There was a lot of snow and ice on that thing all winter and it still looks like when I got it..

Besides the fasteners, its much better than the extang i had on my sierra...
