Depends on how long you keep it and if you value how it will drive past 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100k +

A Tacoma will drive great at 200k, a Colorado may or may not make that.,

I can attest to this having experienced it first hand. My previous truck was a 2000 year model GMC Sonoma w/ the ZR2 package. I bought it new, didn't abuse it, and did regular maintenance. It only had about 117,000 miles when I traded it for my Tacoma last month.

During my time with the GMC, it went through:

    4 intake gaskets
    3 alternators
    1 radiator
    1 water pump
    4 rear axle seals
    2 front wheel hubs
    3 sets of ball joints
    2 starters
    4 oil cooler/filter lines
    2 sets of door hinges/pins
    2 catalytic converters
    2 mufflers
    2 windshield wiper control boards
    2 power mirror switches

The first 7-8 years were okay, and then things started downhill. Around 10 years in, it started leaking oil from the rear main seal. I never bothered with getting that fixed, and now part of my driveway looks like the Exxon Valdez ran aground. Around 12 years the air conditioning started failing. I kept it going for a few years by recharging it myself. The AC stopped working completely around year 16. I think it was year 11 or 12 that the fuel gauge stopped working, and I started closely tracking mileage so I'd know when to get gas. In the last months before I traded, it was giving trouble codes for the emission control system.

I will say that it always did well with the little bit of off-roading I did, and on many a snowy mountain roads. It only truly left me stranded once, when I had to change an alternator in a grocery store parking lot. I managed to limp it home the last time the intake gasket blew, but it had to be towed to the shop afterwards. It just turned into money pit that got worse with time, and ultimately soured me on anything domestic.
