it is aged so maybe i should look into that, the concern isn't necessarily getting the hood to open (yet) its to keeping it closing smoothly,
I don't press down on the hood to close it because of the hood protector, i just let it drop (gently)

it is the A/C i am getting fretted about, was told i have to get whole dash removed to get to the part inside that might be making abnormal noise
toyota would say 'that is just normal to make that noise' lol

Just look at the build thread
Will do. Just gotta find a place to install it that it's easy enough to get to but out of the way of rocks and such.

Took them off then stripped them down and painted them flat black last weekend. There was a noticeable outline were the letters were so this weekend I masked the letters off and painted them white. Not perfect, but came out pretty good.

Must be a new design. I still got their old ones. I should do something with them since alot of folks drive autos in my family.

Just make sure you change em every once in a while. They have a low contamination capacity so they need a change like every year or 15k I think... Might have to look that up

Where to you tap into the PS line? At the reservoir or by the rack? Have you noticed longer life with the components?

Use the return line. I haven't had it on the truck long enough to say if it gives longer life or not.

No work done on the Tacoma today but scored this 400$ Winch for the Tacoma so that counts.

that lubricant spray did not cure the squeaky door, not sure why
this only happens when the climate changes here it seems, hotter & humid out and storm approaching gets worse
i did the top and the bottom hinges, swung door to and fro, repeated...
then worked the middle part that goes into the door, not sure what that part even is!! but i think that is where this loud moany squeak is isolated to
    what would you do??

    Good ‘point’
Maybe some rubber tips would help.

Though tie downs like these come standard on lumber racks, so not much difference

Thought about building a surf rack on the side, really a lot of options

Paid $150 for the camper seems like a $600 Thule or Yakima system is a waste
