I went right after we had all that rain so they closed off a number of the roads. But the ones I found open were pretty cool. Got really tight in places, got more striping here than I did out in Big Bend. I would definitely go back though, lots of places to explore.

I've since moved, but I used to live 10 miles down the road in Quartz Hill. Grew up riding dirt bikes and jeeping all over those hills back in the day.

It’s a Slimline hybrid from SSO. Got a CRAZY deal on it in a group buy. It’s actually a winch bumper but they did mine with no cutouts since I don’t have a winch.

    Back to Asia? :D

An imaginatively named logging road (along with Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo) up north of Princeton, British Columbia....spring black bear hunting....which meant, of course, that there were lots of deer, grouse, cougars, wolves, and so on....and no bear.

Curious, how often do you run into wolves and cougars up there? When you say plenty do you mean you're seeing sign or actually seeing them?

'Run into' may be a bit strong....'seen from a distance' is more accurate

I get up there quite often, and to see a cougar is not uncommon, we saw one yesterday skulking along the top of a ridge that had been cut.

I've only actually seen a wolf once - they are way too smart and way too cautious - but fresh tracks are not uncommon, saw those yesterday too.

Both critters are following the deer, so it make sense....no great skill on my part :)

Did a little bit of a winter camp this weekend just outside of Kananaskis, then did some muddy trails in the area and decided that it’s time to upgrade that rubber
