    No less than 4 long beards from my front window this morning. They are still out there but not gobbling . Pretty much figured out their pattern were they cross hedge row between fields . Tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

    Just got in .Had another hunter get between me and the birds this morning. So he Screwed that up for me ,even though he has permission to be there and I don’t .:rolleyes:. Went behind my house after that ,also birds gobbling on the roost . Cuttin’ and runnin’ Up there didn’t hear a thing . Sat down to rest and listen and 15 minutes later heard a gobble but couldn’t tell where it came from at first .Next thing I know it’s about 50 yards behind me and coming . Got so close my body vibrated from the percussion of the gobble . Directly behind me ,no shot . Then it gobbled it’s way to my right so I waited till I heard it was far enough away and swung to the other side of the tree and made a call ..............never heard another thing :notsure:

    Sometimes when they are hened up later in the season you can wait till mid morning after the hens have left them and catch one that will react to your calls but if they answer and start coming dont call, maybe some leaf scratching or some soft comfort calls
