Do you have any links to where I can read up on the P0446 code and why a new gas cap would clear the code?

I made it work today. Had a big pine tree stump ground up last week. Used it to haul the leftover mulch over to the beds.

Not a definitive thread but it’s the first step. The old cap had visual cracks in the gasket and probably allowed air in and did not allow the fuel tank to pressurize and achieve vacuum. Lucky fix!

Old threads listed fixes as leaky filler tubes at the fuel tank connection, faulty charcoal canisters/fuel tanks, or vacuum leaks found with a smoke test/soapy water.

    Good luck!

Go to a kitchen store/section, look at their scouring pads for pots and pans. Sometimes you can find brass or copper ones.

Are you using the weatherstrip to seal the V covers at each end of the valley?

nope, I am trying to re-weather/noise proof the engine compartment rails like it was delivered to me on day 1
somehow these mysteriously disappeared from the rails when I had hood repair work done at the bodyshop a few months ago.
unfortunately neither them nor I had pics with the hood open before I dropped it off so that I could prove whom took them off and left sticky residue
22yrs of settled dust/dirt on the edge between the metal and weather strips ... these rails should be matte black if there were no strips before!

Replaced the original oem rubber brake lines with Wheelers Brake Line Set. My '03 isn't lifted so it was just the standard length. I plan on doing the rear brake line in a couple of weeks. New line installed.jpg

Yeah those C clips or whatever you call them were a nightmare when I did my front lines. I think it took me almost two hours to get the first one off. Second one was easier but still took awhile.
