Lake and stream but mostly lake with the jig set-up. If I go steam I'll usually grab a fly rod. Most of my fishing is done in alpine lakes. Crystal clear water and spooky fish. Having the ability to huck a 32oz jig 200 feet really helps with the success rate. lol

Shoot me a PM when you come back up this way.

I figured, but when I read I did a double take as tossing a 16 0z is brutal.

@TOP TACO When you were up on Bowman Lake Rd, did you see anything saying it could be open at a certain date? Wanting to head that way and camp (Lindsey Lake or Carr, etc), but it's been hard trying to locate information. Probably just end up doing some dispersed camping somewhere.

Bet bet is to call the ranger station and ask them. I called last week and she said it was open, then I told her she was wrong lol

She put me on hold so she could call around and ask what was going on, then said “oh wow, yeah I’m not sure, call back next week so I can find out what’s going on”

I haven’t called back yet :anonymous:

I typically call the truckee district station

Nope, no dates of re-opening. As Stephen suggested, contact the ranger station for more current info. Good luck! Please report back.

Derp, will do. Clearly my brain isn't firing on all cylinders today. I'm going to call in a bit and ask around. Otherwise we may head up to McCloud.

EDIT 9:51am: Just called the service and they said it remains closed at Fuller Lake. Guess we're going elsewhere!

Rode my bike on the Hoot and Scott Flat trails in NV City on Sunday. Mine was one of three 2nd gen MGM tacos with a camper shell on the back parked in the area that day. Really fun, well built trails. It's a little mtn biking haven with the Ol' Republic Brewhouse right there at the TH and the Harmony Ridge Market across the street.
