I'm going to finish out the summer with my stock tires, and then I'm torn between the Grabber's and the Wildpeaks. I hope to see more testimonial and discussion before I make my decision. On a side note, I would like anyone's input on the nitrogen phenomenon. My local Toyota dealer also owns the Nissan dealer across the street, and got me nitrogen in my tires for free (Toyota didn't have the machine), although it's typically something that's paid for. I honestly don't know if there is actually an advantage to this, but maybe somebody on here smarter about it than me can provide some enlightenment.

Nitrogen is dealers’ attempt to make money where there’s none to be made.

Getting a set of 265/70/17 Grabbers this week. I've ran the older AT2s on all of my previous vehicles (5 sets) and like them much better that the BFGs. They ride better IMO and I get more mileage out of them 50000-70000. I have no experience with Wildpeak.

I put 80K miles on my last set of Grabber AT2's then sold them on CL for $150 with some life still left. Great tire

I am 1.5k in on the KO2s in the size you want. I like them, but far as I know the only ones available in 265/75/16 are E rated tires. They are a little on the stiff side and my mileage has suffered. They are excellent tires, but those drawbacks are there for sure. I will probably look into the general tires a little more closely next time.

My wife was driving the FJ with the set that had 70000 on them. I think I could have got another 10k out of them, but for her peace of mind I put a new set on it. My daughter will start driving the FJ in Oct. This set has about 30kish on them and look great still, hardly any tread loss.

That is the grabber for sure...and when you pull them off someone will pick them up cheap on craigslist vs paying the shop to dispose of them.

I bought the General Grabbers for my wife's 4Runner. I went to discount tires to buy Falken Wildpeaks, but they said they were sold out nationwide for about 2 weeks, so I got the Grabbers for close to the same price as the Falkens. My wife has put about 10k miles on the Grabbers getting groceries and carting the kids around and says they are great. Not alot of road noise and not much loss of gas mileage, maybe 1mpg. These are 32" tires. I am going to get the Grabbers for my truck when the stockers wear out.

Grabbers are a excellent tire and grip the road well. I have run several sets over the years. They must have gained popularity as I used to be able to get them for $125.00 or less a tire.
Everywhere I look now I can get the KO2’s cheaper in the 265/75/16 size.

Just got Falken A/T3W's mounted in 315/70R17. Balanced well and are super smooth on the hardball. I'll have a better report in a few months.

Bit off topic but in going to that bumper and having lost your fogs in the stock position, how's that LED setup doing at replacing them? I use fogs alone quite a bit in "warp speed" snowstorms and wonder if that position is a little high to be as effective for that.

Are you guys quoting in pesos...?

The cheapest I can find is $142 for the Wlidpeaks in 265/75-16 SL, and it goes up to $212 per tire for the KO2s in 265/70-17 C.

And this is the age of the Internet, so region shouldn’t make a difference.

I was running my stock fogs with the CBI T3 front plate bumper and will be running either baja or heretic fogs in their place. I only use the lightbars off-road, mainly in the desert and they work great. The lower bar is actually more effective than the roof mounted bar.

I've been running my Wildpeaks for ~7000 miles or so and they have held up great. No complaints from me, and mine are the E rated ones.

Amazon has the Peaks for $119.00 and DT will price match that if you have one around you.

I love my General Grabber ATX. Great price. Very quiet for a 10ply AT, almost as quiet as the stockers. The sidewalls have large grip area. Overall Inam very happy with them.

My truck came with ko2s when I bought it, wasn't impressed by them at all but to be fair they were half spent already. I run wild peaks now and they kick ass everywhere I've taken them (almost). Got about 20k on them so far and they still look brand new.

I still have to see any of these tires in 265/75-16 under $142.

Perhaps I live too close to Canada to see those prices LOL
