Got my ACDF Setup#1 installed yesterday. Instead of using spacers for the two right horns to clear the trans cooler, i just put two bends in the bracket bar. I also added two braces on each end of the bar (using existing holes and bolts) for stability, no more flexing/wobble. Finally, added some wire loom to hide the yellow wires. Very happy with the end result.

If mounting without the bracket onto an area with factory holes is an option, why aren't more people doing this? Trying to figure pros and cons of these setups, and this 1 seems the best to me. Am I missing something?

I rarely sell any sets with the Setup 3 option without the brackets, it is a very viable option.

I like the option to have the brackets in case I change my mind and want to go different route, but seems like a no brainer to use @MGMSangTaco setup.

I do two group buys per year, one in the Winter and one in the Summer. The next one is slated for Summer 2019.

Finally got to install the second set from the Winter GB! The Eldorado setup makes me a little shy on testing the horn on the road for no reason, even when nobody is around. HAHA! The Park Avenue sounded like a beast. This one sounds like a monster.

@BartMaster1234, got my horns installed and as it turns out, they also made the perfect mounting surface for my Dixie horn. Here's a YouTube clip where the latter half of the video is the demo of your ACDF Cadillac horns.

    Thanks!

Crazy setup. How are you controlling both, with individual switches?

The American Auto Horns' (the ACDF Delco Remy horns) harness/relay is switched via the primary horn switch relay, which is controlled via the switch in the steering wheel. This ensures that my truck's primary horn/warning device meets §175.106b of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, which reads:

Horn and warning device requirements. A vehicle specified under this subchapter shall have a horn or other warning device which is audible under normal conditions at a distance of not less than 200 feet. No vehicle shall be equipped with a siren, bell, whistle or similar device emitting an unreasonably loud or harsh sound, except emergency vehicles and vehicles equipped with an antitheft device.

The Dixie horn is controlled via a positive triggered 12V relay, switched by a custom CH4x4 switch I installed into the compartment to the left of my steering wheel (I included pictures of the switch below):

I love these horns. I also installed them this weekend and I threw together a quick and shitty video:

I had ordered Setup #2, but ended up not needed the flat stock for mounting. I was able to mount two in the stock location, and the other two on the other side. Just drilled out a couple holes and ground off the paint so it was a good contact. Everything seems to work really well!
