I've been lucky just by asking when people take old ones off. Lots of folks aren't sales minded and just take parts off and set them in the garage, can't hurt to ask. I got both my OEM sets just by asking people if they'd sell me their takeoffs.

oh yeah I've had real bad food poisoning a few times, the worst was when I was in Nicaragua. That was fun

eh they'll work for the time being but they're just too cheap and look too cheap to keep as a long term solution. I'm not even going to bother getting them for the rear, just going to keep them up front until I order new permanent flares so at least the front of the truck is protected from rocks and shit getting tossed up.

 

I was being careful when I was in the Philippines and not drinking any tap water, I even brushed my teeth with bottled water. That means no ice in drinks, or even eating fruit that’s been rinsed with tap water.

I got really tired of drinking warm Water and Soda so I figured the ensuing Dysentery or Ebola I would get would be worth it to just drink the ice.

Luckily I never got sick. I don’t know how those Europeans do it, room temperature drinks are horrible.

 

yeah if you ask for ice in your drink in Europe you quickly get treated like an American tourist lol.

I caught Montezuma's revenge at the end of our trip by either brushing me teeth with the water or eating some vegetables that were washed in it, I'm not sure. But I was more lax about it toward the end because we were in San Juan Del Sur which is a very touristy Nicaraguan town and supposedly had "safe water" for things like brushing your teeth, still wasn't recommended to drink it. But turns out it wasn't safe at all, at least not for me

I wondered why that stereotype exists of Parisians not having any hygiene. Probably because they're sweating 24/7 since they haven't discovered Air Conditioning yet.

The first thing our tour guide told us when we went on the Western European tour was that "Air Conditioning doesn't exist here. Here, it's simply 'Air Movement' machines."
