    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    WTF?

I ordered Tcase drain and fill plugs from Trail Toys 6 days ago... they just now printed the shipping lable. Hasn't even been shipped out yet.

I mean I can be realistic. I get not shipping something for a day or 2... but a fucking week? Really?

Put a tool box on and sprayed the hubcaps with gunmetal metallic from duplicolor. I had extra paint so I had some fun lol. Thinking about a 1.5 leveling kit and some 235/75/14 Wrangler radials

lol....I'm glad I'm not the only one. My arms look like a bob cat used them as a scratching post from trying to get an angle that would work.
What finally did the trick was using the claw part of a hammer to pull them out. It's tighter than a dicks hat.

haha that's exactly what happened to me and exactly what I ended up using to get them out. I had a pair of curved nose needle pliers and even those couldn't get them out. The back of the hammer did the trick after some fussing around with it.

I like the bed setup. Ive been thinking about doing something similar. I want to make it with less material to save weight, but I thought a pull out slide might be nice too even if its just the back half that pulls forward.

Do you mean: how much ATF will you lose when you disconnect the trans line that runs to the radiator?

You'd only need a quart or two on hand to refill. Probably wont even need the second quart.

I replaced VC gaskets today on the 99 Prerunner. She has been leaking for a long time so it was pretty messy. Only 235k miles! So here is my question... The air intake from the airbox to the throttle body is just falling apart. I wrapped it up with tape so it will run but I need a real fix. I thought about a shiny new K&N but I don't want to cough up $300. Does anybody have a cheaper way to go?

Well after three weeks of military training, I finally got a day off to fix my truck. Replaced both power steering lines, added a cooler and filter while I had it apart. I am glad this part is finished.
Now I can swap my champion aluminum radiator back in and do my Tundra brake upgrade along with the rear brakes next week.

Anyone have a link to a diagram or photo of what the inside of our brake drums looks like? Have to pull the cover on mine tonight and take a look, I have a metallic rattling sound coming from my rear passenger drum (I believe) but I've never worked with the drums before, not exactly sure what things should look like.

I suspect it might have something to do with the e-brake, I believe the noise started happening after I backed up in 4low with the e-brake engaged on the trail once. It bent up the e-brake brackets on the rear axle which I was able to fix, but I'm afraid something may have come loose or broke inside the drum where it connects.

Edit - I found this, does the e-brake have any components inside the drum or should I just be looking on the outside of it?

Actually the article ^^ that this photo came from is very informative, I think I can just follow this guys' steps unless anyone here has any advice/experience on working with the rear drums, particularly the e-brake

Ah thank you, I don't have a copy of the FSM but this should be perfect along with the write up I found.

According to those FSM diagrams I suspect the parking brake lever might be the culprit, gonna take a look at it tonight. No matter how much I adjust the screw behind the driver's seat (under the truck), the brake does a poor job of holding the truck. So it's gotta be something to do with the e-brake near the drums.
