Alright, so this morning my uncle called and told me he was going to be taking his dead redbud tree out. Needless to say, I was pumped for the chance to use my truck as a truck. Here's some video from the process. It's a small tree with an even smaller root ball.

I took it easy to start. Didn't want to tear the grass up. I was in 2WD the entire time, with an open differential.

Please don't give me any crap for not using a strap. A chain was more than sufficient in this case. The truck would have slipped on the wet grass way before the chain neared capacity.

My uncle narrated the video. He's just giving me a hard time when he refers to the truck as my 'pup truck'. He's got a big ole Silverado 4x4, but respects the Tacoma, so no need to worry about that.

The first clip is before any serious digging had been done. Just got a feel for things.

Central Missouri. My uncle and I and 4 other guys are headed up there next week for 5 or 6 days out on the water. That will be my second trip up there. How was it this year?

    Thanks!

We're putting in near Ely. Can't remember the name of the lake right now, but I'll get it for ya tomorrow. Last year we went in on (or near) Basswood. How was the fishing?

fishing was not that great for the boundry waters. granted we ate walleye every night, the fishing wasnt how it should be. but it should be better now and our lakes structure was not the best for fishing.

Ya I've heard varying reports on the fishing this year. Last summer we went up in early July. Caught lots of pike, but only 3 bass. That was it. Looking for some walleye this year for sure. Do you take the aluminum canoes or the Kevlar?
