sorry I should have been more specific. RTT mounted to cab, not to canopy! Is there room on the sides to mount things?

whoops! Yeah there should be room even on the cab. I have an awning on one side and the shovel and axe on the other. Just have to take the axe and shovel off before I open up the tent. The width on the toprac is the same as the cabrac so it should be similar to my setup I think.

Anyone have a prinsu CabRack that they want to sell? I'm trying to avoid the 3+ week lead time from Prinsu and don't have enough posts to post a WTB add in the classifieds. located in SoCal.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Great idea with the leather punches @pwalnut ... also, was the double-sided tape necessary when putting the weather stripes back?

I’m not sure if it’s necessary especially since the spacers and rack hold the weather strips in place but I don’t think it’s a bad idea.

Especially if your holes aren’t perfectly aligned (mine weren’t), the rack can make the weather strips not sit flush and pop out of the tracks in-between the holes some so the strong double-sided tape helps keep them in place.

Yep! all the drilled slots and holes allow for some kind of mounting. From what I've seen, people use the rigid scene lights or the cheaper Amazon one's on the sides

I don't understand- as the person above said yes... there's slots all along the side of the rack and there are holes for mounting on those lights.

anyone ever try mounting a Thule sidearm bike rack to a prinsu?

My fear is there isn't enough room between the bottom of the cross bars to the roof to get the nuts on.

There's gotta be another way. I intend on mounting my bike to mine. So hopefully

to mount my kayak racks to my prinsu I had to simply get rid of the plastic thumb nuts and run regular stainless nuts.

I'm hoping I can possibly cut the bolts if needed and use nuts if needed. Also i'm thinking one could always run a spacer underneath the thule sidearm between the top of the rail and the bottom of the Thule sidearm.

I came up with a clean way to make it easy for me to load large stuff on the roof rack. Mostly for my kayaks, but will work for a number of things.

I bought the rhino rack pioneer roller that was 48” wide from Amazon. I also bought an extra aluminum crossbar from CBI.

I moved the toprac further back so that the front bar was in the furthest slot. This pushed the back of the rack closer to the tailgate.

This gave me enough room to mount the roller to the rack without having to make brackets to extend it out over the back of the shell. Once in the correct position, I drilled a hole for the roller bolts.

Then I had to cut down the rollers to fit. Bolted it all up and it rolls great!
