Time is my downfall, money isn't really that important. Still haven't had time to get the body armor i got installed, plus need to still get my front and rear ARB Bumpers ordered. WARN wench etc. I have mega patience thank goodness, in due time it will all come around to full circle.

My next project... semi-metalic because it supposedly bites better for trucks and heavy vehicles. And my stopping power sucks.

Thinking I might bleed the brake lines too. Really would like to get rid of the low speed brake pulsing.

Not sure this trail/road will be as fun as last month but if the snow allows there is good wheeling up there.

Finished my brake rotor/pad change. Also put 36 miles on the truck to do the bedding process for the new pads.

I will say though...WTF... I did not bleed my brake fluid. Absolutely, cannot get the rear bleeder valves to move. Best I can tell it's a 10mm head. 12mm is too big. 8mm too small. All I'm doing is rounding off the heads and my 10mm wrench.

Have to leave that for another day. Seriously wasted like an hour trying to figure that bullshit out.

You need to use the right wrench. Not a normal open end wrench on brake lines or you'll ruin them.

They are called flare nut wrenches and it's as close to a fully boxed wrench you can get. They have a notch in them to let you slip it on over the line.

    10mm is correct.

There is no need to go over the line - just open the bleeder nut - correct? I’m not disputing the need for flare nut wrench.

Yes, what they both said. Flair nut wrench for brake lines and a bleeder wrench or find a 6 point open end wrench instead of a 12 point.
Worst case scenario buy new bleeder nipples and use a vise-grip to remove the old ones. By the sound of it you might be close to the worst case scenario.

6 point socket will work on the bleeder as well, but if it is rounded out already....

Holy crap. So I'm working with my insurance company to see about repairs/replacement of my Pelfreybilt front bumper after hitting a deer at 80mph this winter. Busted my right front fender flare (which was brand new) and put a big dent in my bumper. Also cracked a weld on the passenger side recovery point. Aside from that the truck has seemed to be just fine. Blew me away.

Guy on Facebook just posted these photos after hitting a deer today with his 2nd Gen.... I cannot imagine what my truck would look like if I didn't have that bumper! Let alone what injuries my daughter and I could have had at those speeds.

I've heard of people having issues with insurance paying for aftermarket bumpers and grill guards after a crash. we all know that that bumper saved slot of other damage from happening. This is stuff you need to ask about before the incident if you don't like the answer go find a new insurance company.

That being said I hope you are able to get you're able to get them to replace your bumper .

Fingers crossed. My local agent told me way back when that I didn't even have to itemize aftermarket upgrades on my policy.

Adjuster looked at the truck today. Asked me to get him a quote for a new bumper. So hopefully they play nice.

I've reached out to Jerry @ BAMF since he's making front bumpers now. Looks to be same basic bumper with some tweaks to improve rigidity, bigger light bar opening, stuff like that.

I am sure the damage would be rough regardless but this one obviously rolled at least once (see grass and brush in each door gap).

I agree. Couple other photos show quite a bit of tree limbs with leafs in the truck.

I hit my deer on the interstate. Truck hit it and the bumper pushed it under the truck. It then went under my passenger side tires. Found fur in my suspension components. Truck jumped halfway into another lane from the impact. I was able to slow down, pull over, and stop to inspect the truck.

Without the bumper it would have been a very different scene.

    Soooo bored.

I need to be un-lazy tomorrow. Drive someplace and let the dog run maybe. Go for a walk. Mother's Day weekend means I have no kids.

Weather is getting nice. Drove home with all the windows down. Cranked my stereo and let the twin 10" subs bump pretty hard this evening. Slow rolled through the neighborhood on my way home.

Went to the range. Did some shooting. Worked on my trigger press a bit.
