Thanks for pictures. I havent had time to mess with mine yet so i finally know what im going to be looking at.
I drive in 4 too. Although i think i could benefit from 5th still around town. Ill have to play and keep an eye on trans temps though

    So, @JustDSM
It seems as if the PID’s you’re asking for are unavailable.
On my scanner, the only PID’s available at all for scanning are the SAE ones. That’s what had/has me thinking that I’m missing some sort of authorization.

I guess I’ll open a ticket. I just don’t want to be bothering them if it’s just me being a dumbass. How does one go about opening a ticket anyway?

When I hit the space bar to record, The PID's vanish! All I'm left with are SAE vehicle speed and my two un-configured inputs. Which btw have no bearing on this issue. I've tried it with and without.

Unfortunately something odd is happening with your specific Cal ID or something. Please follow HPTuners suggestion to file a ticket (if you have not done so already), and get this resolved. The resolution gained from using the non-SAE PID's is worth it.

I know they'll get you taken care of. They've been absolutely phenomenal in their efforts to keep us on track and running.

AWESOME feedback! I very much appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences using it. Also good to hear about your adventures into the transmission tuning! As much as I love my 6spd, at times I do wish I had an auto to do a little development work.

The table referenced above was not “disable rev-hang” table as we had hoped. We’re still looking into the cause (as well as other things).

I can assure you all that as soon as I’ve got news regarding rev hang I’ll be the first to update you all.

@HPTuners this may have been asked already, but do yall have a timeline, or do you plan on providing support for the 2TR-FE as well at any point? I would love to adjust the throttle mapping on mine.. the ol 4 banger needs all the help it can get

When i installed a lightweight flywheel, i noticed my rev hang wasnt as bad. Revs seem to drop quicker in between shifts now. 2013 6spd for reference, but also put a lightweight flywheel in my 5spd and noticed the same thing. Dont have a short shifter in the 5spd, and really have to move on the shifts to be able to upshift and release the clutch to rev match correctly. In other words, revs drop much quicker after the lightweight flywheel. Curious if others have noticed this who have a m/t?

I know a good bit of what we're experiencing is simply inertia from the 30lb mass that is rotating at 5600RPM, and I hope some of the folks here realize it's not going to drop instantly even with an electronic/tuning fix due to that inertia. I have noticed that the throttle is delayed in closing despite the fact the throttle actuator is at it's "zero" position. I believe there is a timer or some decay function that is in place (but I'm speculating at this moment)

Did you go with the Aluminum flywheel or lightweight steel unit?

i too have noticed the throttle is delayed in closing. In my 5spd this is much more noticeable between the 4-5 shift. If i dont take my foot off the gas for a second or two before pushing in the clutch to shift from 4th to 5th, the rev just hangs there around 2500-3k rpms. If i do take my foot off the gas for a split second and then push in the clutch, the revs drop like normal. Its weird, but i think definitely tuning related in the 4banger.

I got this one for my 6spd, and this one for my 5spd. Both steel units

Do you have the URD clutch as well? .....just curious. Have heard good and bad. It’s one of my choices when I go to switch mine. I’m planning on doing the light weight fly wheel too.

Yes i have the URD stage 3 in my 6spd. I like it, but im not expecting it to last more than 50k just based on what i've seen others post on here.. The past two i've seen have been @TRON (i think his lasted 50k) and then @VolcomTacoma (i think his lasted 40k). Whenever it comes time to replace mine again, i will be keeping the lightweight flywheel, but probably upgrading to something else for better longevity. My clutch was slipping and i already had this one in hand when i started seeing folks post about how the stage 3 didnt last very long. Needed a clutch at the time, so i didnt discriminate

Lighter flywheels always do this. You get a little more free rev but youre sacrificing the momentum. I always figured it was more of an inertia issue for the revhang but i cant say ive ever noticed it either. Granted i only drove my truck 20k miles before stepping up to 315s
