    Yep! And then my skid plates did their job and protected my oil pan, transmission, transfer case.

    Got my Blackstone Labs oil analysis done.

    Iron continues to be elevated over two oil changes. Each oil interval was 5k miles. However, I skipped an oil change to test. Not sure if I should be worried or not. Truck doesn't idle and is a daily driver (10 miles each way to and from work). Motor gets to max temperature on the temp gauge long before I get to my destination.

    Any chance my headers or MAF Calibrator factory into this somehow?

    Went to the dump/landfill today. Got rid of my XMas tree and some old fence slats.

    My truck, including myself and my Rottweiler, weighed in at exactly 5,900lbs as we exited. Scale is calibrated to +/- 20lbs.

    Toyota Press Release for 2015 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 says it was 4,285lbs from factory.

    Explains the crappy gas mileage. I've added 1,615lbs to it. LOL

    Just rotated all 5 tires (put the full size spare in rotation).

    After plus or minus 5k miles my Falken Wildpeak AT3W are right about 16/32 (originally 18/32) or very slightly under.

    And it looks like after 53k my brake pads are still decent:

    Just replaced my front brake pads and rotors. The factory pads still have a considerable amount of life left. However, I'm tired of the low speed brake juddering.



    Also put 36 miles on the truck to do the bedding process for the new pads.





    I noticed that the Brembo rotors weigh less than the factory rotors. It was pretty noticeable actually.

    First impression? I just did one of the powerstop kits and it definitely an improvement especially under freeway braking.

    Got rid of my low speed brake juddering!

    Have been gentle on the brakes as I don't want to break in poorly. Can't say what a panic brake will be like. My last panic brake on the old set was at 70mph to a stop. I think it took 17 miles to completely stop... lol

    Holy crap. So I'm working with my insurance company to see about repairs/replacement of my Pelfreybilt front bumper after hitting a deer at 80mph this winter. Busted my right front fender flare (which was brand new) and put a big dent in my bumper. Also cracked a weld on the passenger side recovery point. Aside from that the truck has seemed to be just fine. Blew me away.

    Guy on Facebook just posted these photos after hitting a deer today with his 2nd Gen.... I cannot imagine what my truck would look like if I didn't have that bumper! Let alone what injuries my daughter and I could have had at those speeds.

    How are you breaking in the pads? I have always bedded them in with multiple hard stops from 45mph to 5mph never stopping with them resting in one place on the rotors until I have driven around enough for them to cool.
