A “sparky” in my business is also known as a firefighter...

 

I've heard this one actually, also heard of welders being referred to as a "sparky" as well. Generally we like to avoid sparks at all costs

 

My old house had metal junction boxes throughout, thought I shut the circuit off at the panel...apparently it had two running through it. had a flashlight in my mouth and zapped the shit out of myself changing a light switch chipped my teeth on the flashlight.
Now, I usually shut the main off and use a headlight.

Oof, yeah that hurts. At this point in my career I've been poked so many times its almost normal. Stick to the the one hand rule, never work on anything live with both hands.
