Morning everybody. Gonna be a slow next two weeks for me...

 

Maybe some design work, but I've still got to sit here at work everyday. Just gotta twiddle my thumbs until my times up. I put in my 2 weeks yesterday. Oddly enough my boss was happy for me.

 

My requirements are a 17x8 wheel with 4.00 backspacing. That's all I got at the moment. I keep seeing some deal on Facebook I may look in to. Guy has some methods with tires for 1K. But again, I want some wheels I can feel good about beating on.

 

Ah. Well it seems to be a good deal. If I was in to having cool wheels, I'd buy them. Even has decent tires on them that could be resold.

 

Where do ya'll even buy wheels from new? Never done it.

Yeah, I'll do my shopping around for sure. Amazon is a good general place to start though.

But upon further research, steelies may not work like I thought without a spacer. The way the holes are formed, the steel flares to the inside of the hole and interferes with the brake caliper. So even with correct backspacing, a 3/4" spacer is needed to get the wheel far enough off the hub to clear. So... back to the drawing board.

 

Finally getting my cracked windshield replaced!

 

Pilkington glass and it looks just like the OEM one, ceramic dots and all!

 

I'm watching them to keep them on their toes. They are doing a great job so far!

Yep, it has the GoPro mount on it.

 

They were in and out in 15 minutes! Those guys were no joke and I could tell they had been doing it for a long time. Now I just have to go get another ceramic tint strip across the front, but can't do it until 48 hours has passed, for the adhesive to set good.

 

All my car washing is done by hand. No automated car wash for any of my vehicles. I've just seen too many horror stories about those places!

 

You got a cracked windshield too?

 

Bought my level8's on an ebay sale for 106 a wheel. I think they are 120 a wheel now.

 

I think he uses the water hose and when it rains method like i do. My truck only sees soap like once every 2-3 months anymore lol
