Deep water just destroys too much crap. Remember with old cell phones people would put them in a zip-lock when it would rain? Now we take our latest (and much pricier) smartphones in the shower to watch YouTube. Our trucks are basically second gen cell phones for water tightness at this point. You can't exactly put the truck in a bag of rice, so avoid anything deeper than the bottom of your door. You could safely go headlight deep with a snorkel but only briefly.
