I thought i might have met you at GR one time....its hard to tell.

My girlfriend ragged on me HARD when she heard about our drone conversation today.

She and my dad have both been on my heels about getting one

 

While you guys were gallivanting around the mountains I was at sea level this weekend. It was my first trip out. Caught a ton of shorts. They'll be legal size in two weeks.

 

My dad is bugging me to take his new Carolina Skiff out. TW fishing meet?

 

Nice catch. Have you caught any trophies this season?

 

Boat fishing meet on the bay/Patapsco river out of Baltimore county or kayak fishing meet from my cabin on the Potomac river? Another fun TW meet would be a river float. A lot of the guys up on the mountain do floats down the river on tubes, canoes, kayaks ect... Alot more to do up there besides shoot, wheel & drink lol.

No. I had the trolling gear with me, but once I found the schools of small fish the action was non stop. They'll be legal in two weeks. I was having too much fun. Had to stop and take breaks. My arms were getting tired . I was near a ton of people trolling and no one looked like they were catching. There was a tournament this weekend. Tons of traffic on the Bay and the fog rolled in late morning. Thank goodness for radar.

A river float sounds like fun. Heard good things about those kinds of events. Shooting, wheeling, and drinking also sound fun...

 

I can fit a passenger on my little boat.

I love jiggin those schoolies. Did it look like there were big ones beneath the schoolies?

 

I lost a big fish pretty close to the boat. Close enough that I could see the bait come out of its mouth. It probably wasn't legal, but in the 30's. Most of the schools I found were just fish in the 20's. I'm ready to get back out there.

 

A buddy of mine that guts houses here in Canton just stopped by and gave me some vintage fishing rods & reels. With some polishing these 2 will make nice wall hangers in my cabin. The one has a fine thread for line, not sure how far back that dates.

 

I wouldn't touch them Dave. Just hose them off with fresh water and let them dry. Biggest mistake you can do is cleaning old stuff.

 

They will look good in there.
