Drew this up myself in Inventor sheet metal on a slow day at work, and then had my friend bend it up. Now I can carry more cargo along with bikes. Previously with the bikes' rear wheels sitting in the bed, a bike of my size's wheelbase would have to be kicked off to the side just for the tailgate of my shortbed to close, but now that isn't a problem.

Looking for short straps or bungees for securing the rear wheel to the "troughs" they ride in, but that shouldn't be too difficult and might almost be unnecessary but I'm not going to chance it.

If I was to make this again, I'd flip the design around just so the bikes sit a little lower, but it's really not that big of a deal.

Well it's been a while since I posted a "What have I done today", so here is a little summary since my last post. In that time I have purchased a pro skid plate, OEM pro grille, pro fogs, pro shift knob, 4 runner pro sema rims, OEM roof rack, BFG KO2s 265/70/17, K&N Blackhawk CAI, Caliraised side shooter ditch lights, Meso V4 ultimate turns/Total Tail light stage 1/ Maps and Dome lights/Fuse cover/lower switch panel/coin holder, pop and lock kit, all speakers replaced with kickers, quickfix full license plate mount, black Tacoma exhaust tip and I have some black/black/black leather perforated Clazzios on the way. I’m sure there are some others I’m forgetting but whatever. I also over the weekend changed my front and rear diff oil. Both were a little low, and the front was pretty dirty, the rear was pretty clear. And damn I made the mistake of leaving my oil pan and old oil in garage without cleaning it out lol. Wow, my whole garage was foul, thank god the smell didn’t get into the house! A few pics!

    Dat long bed!!!

    Black chrome matches truck perfect!

    Caliraised side shooters are bright!
    AC315156-D574-4D13-B67F-09A1A8442512.jpg

Was adding the red TRD domes to replace my black, flat TRD vinyl. Yeah I know my blinds upstairs are broke, my dogs always push their big heads and break them to look out the window. I've replaced two sets already lol, since the pic I have replaced.
    7313DEDA-75DF-4825-843B-B99EC2CF84D3.jpg

A shot from church parking lot! Yeah I had to turn back and take a pic, my wife and 4 year old daughter laugh at me, but my 2 year old son gets me! He looks and smiles, my man!
    458B4EFA-8AA2-4BBD-9386-A9AA4F7CA50B.jpg

Left side was front and right was rear, from the drain plugs of course. It wasn’t so much that it smelled horrible, it was just a very strong smell. Kind of reminded me of growing up on the water, we had a lagoon out back so it reminded me of the low tide smell x10!

I’ll post some better pics later on in the week!
