Guys, I just got my truck and want a good bed cover, not over $1000. What do you recommend??
    Thanks

What do you need it to be good at? There's hundreds of different tonneau cover options.

Do you want: folding, rolling, retractable, one piece...? Help us help you.

Thanks. I wont be using it a whole lot, but I lean toward a hard one, like the BAK and maybe the roll up that rolls on top instead of underneath. I just want long lasting and easy to use, getting our of the way when needed, and that locks.

    Gotcha.

I too prefer the hard paneled covers. I have a ProZ ProFold for when I'm not using my camper shell, it's along the same lines as a BAK G2, but not quite as nice as the newer BAK MX4.
What's nice about these folding covers is they'll fold forward and then can fold vertical to allow full bed access, granted when that's happened you lose sight out the rear window.
The hard paneled rolling covers like a BAK Revolver X4 are really nice because you can roll it all the way forward, have 99% of your bed available and it doesn't really block any vision.

Either of these folding or rolling covers will have the same level of security. There's no lock on the cover but if you close and lock your tailgate you're locked as to open the cover it requires opening the tailgate first.

I can also get you a deal on any of these covers

X2 is the older model, X4 is the new one.
Main revisions are to the seals to be better waterproofed and the latches being more refined. Also the top is a bit different, the x2 is a semi gloss vinyl versus the x4 which has a more sleek matte black finish.

All in all both are very similar and work well, the X4 has some revisions to make it a little nicer.
