I took mine to the dealer Friday for this reason. First they said they could not recreate the sound, so I gladly obliged to recreate it, then they told me the bass was up too much, haha. Point of the story, toyota wants you to buy the upgrade to jbl but not use it.

I had some of this foam tape laying around the garage so I pried off the switch panels on both front doors, added a bunch of foam tape, popped them back and it's fixed! Thought I was going to have to take the whole panel off, which is why I've been putting it off. Only tried it for a few minutes, but so far so good. God it feels good to have that fixed!

Quality at it's best. Wonder how many lemons came out of the BaJa plant other than ours?

Yea, mad I waited so long to try to fix it. I still have a slight vibration that I think is coming from the dash but it's not from bass, more from mid/high. Not nearly as frequent tho.

Window Passenger side speaker vibrates just enough to annoy. It only happens in colder temps. When I got my six month service they said the dealer could take a look at it but would have to schedule an appointment.

Fixed JBL audio passender door rattle with felt between door and switch plate. Reseated driver side body mount behind passenger seat to fix annoying clicking/creaking sound.
I fixed mine with the felt from Amazon. I used a plastic pry bar to pop off the passenger switch plate. I then cut thing strips and applied to the inner edges of the switch plat that makes contacts vertically with the door. Popped it back in and problem solved. JBL rocks now. If you temporarily fold and wedge a business card between the plate and the door near the area closest to the hinge side of the door, you'll probably find that works too.

FWIW, I had previously taken it into the dealership. I think the tech simply popped the switch plate on and off and it came back in a few days. They also put "no problem found" on the work order. This was at Toyota of Plano. I went up the chain above the service manager and got a call from the Static Operations director. He claimed this is a known issue, a new door would do the same thing. I asked him why they hell didn't they just apply felt. He sad, "well we can certainly do that if you bring it back." :annoyed: I just fixed it myself.

My wife's Scion tC used to do it. My Tacoma does it every once in a while but it is usually hit or miss. Even on the same song/volume high or low. The stock speakers sound pretty good so I haven't been looking at replacing them or the panel. Would be nice if Toyota could look into it since it seems pretty consistent with their vehicles.

Good luck with that. Rattles are not hard to fix. Just takes time to find them.

Sorry to be a thread necromancer here, but having this problem with my 2018... passenger window controls rattling with road noise at cruising speeds on the highway (not even stereo induced). How thick of felt should I be looking for to rectify the problem?

    Thanks

Please let me know if you ever find this out. I would like to do the same thing, but I think my rattle is around the middle of the driver's side door.
