Rci is in Colorado. Their lead times are usually better than most

I have mobtown’s sliders they are great.

Sounds like op is moving to Colorado which is why I mentioned rci. I have their skids and bed rack. No complaints, good quality. Got both during separate sales, shipped out not too long after

That's a good point. Local pickup would save a lot of money

Congrats. I’m flying up for a job interview Friday. If all goes well I’ll be making that move soon myself

It really depends on your skill level and the type of trails you end up driving. If you're going to just be doing "a little wheeling" I honestly wouldn't waste your money and the added weight of a bunch of off-roady protection stuff. You'd be surprised the type of trails you can run and not even come close to hitting your bumpers or your rocker panels.

I see a LOT of people who ask about all the stuff they "need" to go wheeling in their brand new truck. The answer, generally, is "nothing." But despite that, people see all these brolanders with $20k in armor, racks and tents and expensive shovels, and want to get in on that action.

I wheeled my truck for more than a decade (mild trails, was a daily driver) and never really saw the need for sliders, bumpers, skids, and all that stuff. It was only when my taco became a dedicated trail truck and not a daily driver that I started seeing a need for trail armor.

Focus first on some decent tires, not those crap street slicks they put on the "off road" trucks, and maybe a mild suspension lift. Then just go drive it. If you find you are scraping your bumper on obstacles, then think about a bumper.

That said, I really like my 4xinnovations sliders (weld on - ~$250 for DOM tubing), and my CBI Moab bumper. Both were DIY "kits" so that saved me a ton of money (even if you include buying the welder, lol). Although I'm not sure CBI makes the DIY version for 3rd gens...
