Barn find? More like bottom of a swamp find. Cool piece of history for sure but asking price is absurd.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I just got my front BP-51s replaced from ARB last week. Only 1.5 year on the originals, and they were both leaking. I really love the ride/adjustability and offroad performance, but not too pleased with the longevity (so far).

They are also shipping them with only 5mm preload now, while my old ones were set to 20mm from the factory (which caused some top out on my heavy ass front-end). I need to adjust them to at least 10-15mm both sides to get a bit more clearance, or close to what I was sitting at before. Just another caveat to having them replaced under warranty.

Yep not super impressed with how they are wearing out. So much for the made in Australia(apparently Thailand is a state in Australia) pride.

Who would have thought trying to get money from the county would be a huge pain in the dick/balls?

Try getting it out of the City you work for. I would rather chew glass than do it again.

Yup - I just hope they can get some sort of rebuild program in place here soon. They market them as "100% Rebuildable", but no facilities (in the US) to offer any rebuild services or train any distributors how to rebuild them as other companies have done.

Which is part of why I will be selling them as soon as I get them to replace.

Not as of yet. When I called ARB to ask about rebuilding them they said "We are working on getting a process in place to have them rebuilt, but for now we are just replacing them under warranty, if needed"

I just picked up a M18 Portaband recently and built a pretty sweet stand for it. So, it's either portable or a vertical bandsaw with a 5" depth.

Sweet, I come through Olympia every now and then. Will you let me use it in return for a six pack of your choice?

I guess I'll take new ones over having to get the rebuilt. Shorter turn around, right?

When I got my rear shocks replace it took about 2 weeks to get the new ones. I’m currently 1.5 weeks in on the fronts and it’s a ghost town.

Could be - but therein lies the other "issue" of setting the preload how you need it. These coils are somewhat anomolous when it comes to adjusting the preload; not a lot of shops are equipped to do it or they will damage them trying to figure it out, or you can try to do it yourself (which is no quick task in itself, even with the proper tools and know-how)

Slap a red tag/stop work order on the front door of their main office. That'll confuse the hell out of them and get their attention.
