There's 3 groups so we shall see we been doing some investigation work because from experiance they definately clog the trails and we are doing everything possible to avoid that. If you guys have IG add me @juannabejuan and I'll share some info. Dont want to post it publicly.

Sounds like Saturday might be hectic on the trails...

As far as weather is concerned. The Weather Channel now says rain Thursday thru Monday with a 90% chance on Saturday. So I think it is safe to say that it will be rainy and muddy up there. The weather and trail conditions along with the added congestion of a Jeep party might make for a difficult day.

For those of you who don't mind the rain and mud, obviously you guys are still going to go so I will need someone to take lead on this for me. Unfortunately, I will not be heading up there this weekend. Wheeling in the rain does not sound fun to me and I don't want to wheel in mud ever again. The clean up is way to much of a pain in the ass.

For those of you still planning on making out this Saturday, please be careful and have fun. Take pictures and let us know how it was.

For those who are like me, if there are any, that don't want to deal with rain and mud. Maybe we can plan another trip once the weather is for sure nice. Sometime mid June or July would be best I think.

We've been planning this for a month now so this is a total bummer. I've been wanting to go back up since I originally did this run last month but I guess the weather had other plans.

If anyone is interested in planning another trip let me know and we can figure it out. It sounds like @eon_blue and @DarthPow are still planning on going so I would coordinate with them for any further details.

No worries man I understand, as of right now I'm still planning on going. I have to check with my dad though and see if he's still interested in camping. I'm cool with leading a group on Saturday if others are still down to try it out, if it turns out to be too difficult we can always turn around and just stick to the easier trails around the area.

I say come, we were all new at one point or another and White Mountain is the perfect kind of moderate 4x4 trail to get your feet wet on (literally wet this weekend). No ones going to fault anyone for being new or needing help

Link won't work for me...hopefully they aren't too big of a group, and they may be starting at a different time

try just copying and pasting the link, instead of clicking on it, I think the redirect is messing with it.

Yea I'm hoping that the fact this is like a big, sanctioned, type event they won't start until a little later.

I'm still down to go at this, like you said, worst case we turn around. If White Mountain is bad, I'd be down to just go back down and run Holcomb Valley or something. Maybe the rain will keep some of the Jeeps off the trail as well, and it won't be as crowded.

yeah I was thinking the same thing, hopefully the rain deters some of the Jeep crowd.

We'll keep an eye on stuff as Saturday approaches but yeah, I'm still down!

I think either way it will be fun  I think with the rain, there won't be a hell of a lot of people out there. I feel like half of the people in SoCal wont even leave the house if it rains.

true but you never know with Jeep crowds...hopefully if they do come we'll be on the trail before them so they aren't tearing it up when it's wet

heck they might even be cool haha, if there's only a few of us and a few of them we might be able to join forces. Only if they're cool though.

according to their schedule, they're leaving the Big Bear Elks Lodge at 9am. We might end up running into them, since we're meeting farther away at the same time. But the trails are long, I doubt it will be too bad. If we do run into them, and they're not cool enough to join forces, we can just wait a few minutes for them to run ahead. I think no matter what, this is going to be an awesome day.

earlier than 9 might not be doable for me, my friends are coming from the West Side, so that might be too early for them to get up there.

Do any of you guys know how to get to the garden of Eden trail? Dont mean to thread jack but haven't heard from anyone where i tried to get info. And these jeep guys will definately not be cool. Read their rules about Toyota's.
