What would you guys recommend for a better battery system. I’d prefer not to do a dual battery system, for various reasons, but I’m looking at a good deep cycle AGM and maybe increasing the group number for more off grid time.

+1 for a northstar 31m. Have no complaints with it. it easily runs my fridge for ~2-3 days without starting the engine on the middle voltage cutoff setting. I thought about doing dual battery before but the 31m is doing more than I need right now. If anything, still considering adding a solar panel to keep feeding it some power

 

I’ve been looking at Northstar as well. Did/would you get a larger battery tray to up the size for more reserve time?

 

you need a new tray for the 31. I bought a Pelfrey one at the time but pretty sure there are other brands. Down the road, I plan to relocate the battery to the bed.

 

I live a few blocks from where he works so I see his truck almost daily. I’ll throw him a text here in a few minutes to make sure he’s good.

 

Hey everyone thanks for thinking about me and checking in. All is good just been crazy busy at work and the little free time I have is spent with the kiddo or fire prevention stuff on the 6 acres of fuel I live on lol. Been thinking about taking my rear springs apart and cleaning/greasing/replacing pads between them cause they squeak like a rusted out 72 Chevy. I'll post some pics . Let's see if Big O tires on McHenery can do an alignment.

 

Don't go to Big O with SPCs... These guys don't know what the fuck they are doing either... and they want to charge me extra now, because they have to adjust the upper control arms.

BTW... they have SPC Performance stickers on every tool box in their shop, yet they act as if they are some new top secret Russian technology.

And let me say again... these dopes have SPC Performance stickers all over their shop.

Turns out, they did fix my alignment. I no longer rub at even full lock. I'm sure I have trimming to do to get rid of rub at full lock and stuff... but this ended up putting me where I can figure out what I actually need to cut.

I did not have to pay the additional fee... but $100 is a bit much for an alignment that I had to walk them through step by step to get it done. BUT, at least they were willing to listen and do what I said.

That alignment cam and CV is not on a Tacoma... what are you up too?
