Hey Guys, I have access to a JD2 Model 3 bender, however I need a 1 1/2" die. Does anyone in So Cal have one I can borrow for a day?

    PLEASE?

I know this thread is old, but I just saw it while rummaging through your profile. You can borrow mine Robert. If you need the die you can use it. I like to lock myself in and work alone w/o any distractions, and the reason I haven't wanted to allow anyone to come in and work at the shop while I'm there is for a couple reasons...#1, I found myself so backed up I couldn't have ANY distractions or loss of time helping/talking with someone, plus I was only in the shop for like a week when you contacted me back then.. and #2, I won't lie, I'm very selfish with my tools right now since they are what I use on a daily basis to make a buck and I'm always fighting their quirks one way or another, which means any wear and tear on them must be done by me. You're free to borrow my die since you did so much to rep my sliders Robert. I don't mind you using my bender for something small, but I just don't want people using all the other machines. There is only 1 guy I'll let have full run of my shop, and that's my friend who builds (built) trophy trucks and allowed me to use all his machines.

Hey Brian, thanks alot, I appreciate it. I acutally found a die and finished up that project (it was the light bar for my app-pro bumper). Only thing left is my roof rack now, but that needs a 1" die and I dont think you have one of those. I will probably use the one at my old school, they let alumni get away with anything..HAHA...thanks again though.

P.S. heading to big bear this weekend to take on some pretty difficult ROCKY trails that will REALLY stress the sliders. I will let you know when I get back how they held up, but I have FULL confidence in them.

Things have been pretty tight for me lately and I'm lucky to even have my head above the water right now....the water line is currently at my forehead, and no snorkel...it's been a crappy slow month for orders & that's all it takes unfortunately. Definitely get us some more real world feedback when you return from the rocks. Sounds like you're hitting the trails near Deep Creek and Crab Flats...?
