I know how to use the bluetooth in my truck, but what i dont understand is:

When I make a call it says "no name"?? Is there a way that i can program names in my trucks phonebook? Im using a ATT blackberry 8130. not sure if these radios allow transfering of your phones phonebook or not? but i tried transfering my phonebook to the truck via bluetooth but it wouldnt work?

To my knowledge you can only set 6 speed dial numbers with your truck not transfer the phonebook.

You can name the pre-set shortcuts. It's pretty lame. I just hit the off hook button then "1" then off hook to call my #1 preset. using the speaking option isn't really much of a shortcut.

You can (sort of) transfer phonebooks (or add manually)

    What I did was:
    1) Go to Phonebook
    2) Go to add entry
    3) go to add by phone (i.e. from your phone)

the BT will now warn you to prepare the phone to transfer.

On my Droid, I select the contact and press Menu then Share then Bluetoth

    4) Say "Confirm"
    5) Hit send on the phone
    6) record a name in the car.

Yes, I have to do it ONE BY ONE an yes it takes FORever

and as far as I can see, the BT phonebook has a really small capacity, maybe 10-20 entries, which is really lame.

blackberry's do not support the transfer of phonebooks via bluetooth, i tried to do the same thing with my tour 9630, but after much research, i found out i just had to do it by speaking to the system
