Have you guys looked at the new Jeep truck? I'm a Jeep fan(TJ and older), but the truck just looks weird. It looks like a long bed, but it only offers a 5ft bed.

 

Nasty storm rolled through this morning. Lightning struck in the parking lot around 4a, that got my attention....

I hate it. I want a Comanche. Maybe if they offered a 2DR Longbed... Or a cab and a half longbed..

 

I need some more to get through these last three and a half hours.

I honestly wanted to like it. I don't think they should have made it convertible either.

I like the look of short beds better, but I needed a 6ft bed. The Gladiator looks like a 6ft bed, but you get hosed with a 5ft'er.

I thought it wasn't fully convertible? I thought it had something like a t-top?
I just think having a JKU front half looks fuckin awful.

I never liked the fact it was convertible. Then when I saw it looked like a long bed, but only has 5ft beds....that was it.

 

It's like they're making a truck just to say they have a truck.

No thought into the design or functionality whatsoever.

 

I honestly wanted to like it. I just don't think a truck should be a convertible. I understand most people don't use trucks as trucks now-a-days, but I still want it to be a truck

I don't know if it'll steal Tacoma sells, but it may steal some Wrangler sells. If I were looking at a new Wrangler and needed a truck bed.....done. It just seems like more of a novelty. I do like the solid axles though

 

I dunno. I don't buy it. I feel like if you're looking for a Jeep, you'll get a Wrangler. If you're looking for a truck, you'll go look at an actual truck. I know they have the conversion kits for the 2doors and I like those cause you still get that short wheelbase and a little space in the back...
Like you said, novelty. I don't see them selling well.

Now if they designed an actual truck with the Jeep emblem on it, that'd be different. Instead of slapping a little bed on the back of a JKU.
