That's not a bad idea at all. That's what I did with all the U-joints on the drive shaft. It's not bad... I get a very very slight violent vibration in between 0 and 150 km

 

As long as it doesn’t explode.

How many kms on your current wheel bearings? Might be opportunistic to replace them too...

In the meantime check the diff fluid level so you don't run low.

 

@Thyces wheek bearings will need to be pressed in at a shop. Ask @Norilsk It’s a cluster fuck to try and do it.

 

I second the HARD pass on wheel bearings unless they need to be done. Took them a week because they couldnt get the race off the shaft. Plus they broke an abs sensor and said it was seized in so it was out of pocket for that too..

 

The pl option seems more and more attractive. Bearings shouldn't too bad. They only have like 250000km on them....

 

Why a full float would be sweet.

Again, can remove the third very easily without the other shit. Doing the bearings and brakes is just additional shit that’s good to do at the time.


Or just throw a Dana 70 and say fuck it
