I have a 93 pick up as well as a 95 that has a god motor and tranny. I am wondering if can change computer from the 95 to the 93 when swapping motor and tranny. My frame is rotten and split beyond repair on the 95. The 93 is a truck from the south and frame seems to be in great shape.

What's wrong with the engine and tranny in the 93?

If they are both v6, you can swap the 3.4 into the 3.0 relatively painlessly.

The engine in the 93 is a 3.0 and pretty much toast. The tranny pops out of gear in 1st as well at 3rd. The engine in the 95 is a 4 cylinder with around 150,000 mile on it.

Transfer case becomes an issue swapping the trans from the tacoma in the 93, the toyota pick ups are passenger drop, and the tacoma is driver drop.

There are solutions to your problems.

its deciding now how you want to invest your time and money.

Me personally? Look for a nice 3.4L v6 and work out a swap and sell the 4cyl taco and cut your losses. Find a new r150 trans and go from there.

    I agree with him...

    Replace that 3.slow with a 3.4L!

Will have to watch for a 3.4 but still leaves me with a good 95 4 cylinder.

One more question LOL. Will the 95 4 cylinder bolt up to the 3.0 existing tranny and transfer case? How about the computer being compatable with the existing wiring as well.
