just take bolts off and it drops?, no other pieces/parts to undo?

 

Front brace, rear strap, and bracket in the inner fender for the fuel filler neck. You have to get the wire harness and lines loose before you come down more than an inch or two.
Taking the bed off is another option many people use. I have done it that way on other trucks, and on my Dad's taco.

 

Is he dropping the tank? I thought he was just trying to drop the slid plate on the tank

gonna see if it in good enough condition to get powdercoated
i've seen it called both

 

powdercoat black or silverish gray

 

yes, will cost $45 to get it looking cool
and never worry about corrosion ever again (unless it gets dinged and coating comes off I am thinking)
