Reason I ask is I have an Off Road GPS mapping unit/tablet and the standard USB isn't providing enough power to keep it juiced up. The damn thing dies before the day is done. I have a replacement USB like the one you just installed. Figured if I plugged and played it wouldn't change anything. Now I'm confused. Though that's mot unusual.

I mean, seriously; we're not both going to drive out on trails separately.
I considered putting the suspension back to stock and going to stock wheels/tires, but she probably still wants a lift.

There is a list of things to do... Some are preventative, some are mods, some are de-mods, and some are maintenance.
She is already talking about steps/sliders, but she's cheap frugal, so it'd have to be a deal...

Whats wrong with the headlights? Maybe swap with your truck? Or with mine.

 

Are you talking about the USB that connects to your stereo at the bottom? Yeah, those don't put out enough power as I think they're only 1.2a. you need something higher. You can get an adapter for one of the lighters that has that kind of power, or just change out the socket as a whole like I did. You need to make sure you get something that has higher amperage readings though.

I've got a replacement for the power plug like yours that I'd like to install because the stock USB connector doesn't supply enough juice to run a tablet. At work so cannot supply a pic.

I use Alibaba at a commercial level, I have a manufacturer for Delphi automotive connectors.

They track your browsing habits like crazy. If I’m in Google and I type in “Roof top tent” I get several emails from people on Alibaba trying to sell me tents. If I type in something really specific, like “3.5mm 12v barrel connector power jack” guess what, I also get several people trying to sell me that and other stuff.

Clear your cookies often and it’s not bad of a site.

 

Let me know if you need any help changing it out. I had to Dremel out the hole just a bit to get the new one to fit. I bought this one.. I didn't need the volt meter part, but it was the only one I could find with the USB-C port.
