    A thing or two...
    Higher pressure is fine because you don't have the plastic end tanks anymore. The higher pressure raises the boiling point of the coolant, so it can get hotter without boiling over into the overflow tank.

    I know when some of us first put them on when this mod became a thing someone found out the TRD one wouldn't quite fit.

    Yup, like someone else said with an all aluminum construction a slightly higher blow off pressure is fine and is in-fact an advantage.

    Also IIRC SAE allows for a 20% pressure variation from rated pressure, so a 14 PSI cap could easily be 17 PSI and you would never know.

    What about the heater core? Unless it’s all aluminum too you could cause problems there instead.

    Looks like the TRD cap is 1.3 bar vs CSF at 1.4 bar.

    Even the cheap, after-market heater cores are all-aluminum (pictured). I've never run across a plastic Toyota heater core.

    That’s good to know. I think I’d still be leery of increasing the pressure though. More so if the caps are allowed to vary by 20%. What you thought was a 20% increase might well be that plus 20% more. Pressure release is the part of the design that prevents catastrophic damage to the cooling system. I’d add more capacity or an oil cooler before cutting that margin if the conditions are so demanding. The better solution is to get rid of the heat rather than hang onto it harder. If still going that route consider what other upgrades are needed to withstand the pressure and whether a failure is preferable to waiting for a boil over to cool off.

    I’d be willing to bet that anything CSF is willing to put on their customs radiators has tighter tolerances than the OEM cap. I doubt they would decide to go slightly higher unless they believed that the tolerances would allow for it safely.

    My point here was that the Toyota TRD cap is virtually the same as CSF. And Toyota would sell this for the stock radiator, so the CSF should be fine for the upgraded radiator.
