My camera doesn't have any lines on it so alignment won't have to be perfect. I do plan to mount it as close to factory as I can though with some tape and play around with placement til I like it.

And @tweakit88 I can whip up another mount for you if you want. I'll be making mine from some 1/8" flat stock.

 

Those lines don’t match up with ANYTHING on my truck at least. And everything is off center since the camera isn’t in the middle either.

 

Don’t get me wrong it’s close but they definitely have plenty of wiggle room. And I know the wide angle lens distorts things. My biggest gripe about it is the little line in the middle. Since the camera is offset it’s pretty useless. This is my first vehicle with a backup camera though so I can’t complain too much.

 

I do but not back in town for a week or so.

 

I prefer to stay where we a now and not further publicize our existence. Gonna attract all kinds of neer do wells if you move it.

 

Yes but one that mounted in the bumper license plate light mount. But that would be very difficult to make so i decided ill move mine to the top tube of my swingout eventually.

 

Although might not help with your situation, I disconnected mine when I put my rear bumper and swing-out on. I drilled a hole in top middle of my shell and used JB Weld to secure it in place. Forget if I did any rewiring/splicing or not. Camera angle and warning line are off now of course but was easy to do. Also gave me a better view when I am backing up with trailer hooked up.

That will be okay. Im driving up to kentucky on june 29th to drop my wife off with her aunt and going back to kentucky on the july 14th to pick her up. So if i can pick it up on the 29th and drop it back off on the 14th that may work out perfectly

 

Why does it matter? Not like we don’t have other words that are spelled the same but with different meanings. You get the meaning from the context, just as you did in this case. Ugh, English is terrible.

I didn’t make the meme. So I didn’t take it as a dig. I just think English grammar is silly considering all the exceptions and contradictions to the rules. If words sound the same, they should be spelled the same. And with all the possible sounds and letter combinations, why do we have a situation where two different words sound the same but are spelled differently. We should just say them differently so there’s no confusion. Maybe then people would spell you’re correctly.

 

your and you're are in fact pronounced differently, though. Just depends on someone's accent or if they were taught correctly. Now....their and there....I can agree because they sound exactly the same.

 

You’re probably right. I have this Baltimore accent. We pronounce everything incorrectly. Hooked on phonics doesn’t work if you can’t pronounce the words.
