My point is there was a load of food wasted. I'm not sure cooking a small batch to learn with would help cooking a large batch. I dunno. I do know I've always had a prior commitment when invited back. :)

I think a lot of people have a hard time cooking large amounts of food if they haven’t done it before. I do agree that you need to know your equipment also so that you adjust temps as needed for the food types.

It took me a little while to learn to cook for a banquet hall and catering center. :)

I’ve made some meals I would serve my dog.

Sounds like you are talking about the skottle grills all the bro-verlanders use. I always figured there would be a bit of a learning curve to those things. They do pack up nicely though.

I don’t know how it will taste, but this is my best looking butt I’ve done to date. I also threw a tin of the famous beans that were mentioned awhile back on.

Edited for you, but I bet the dog was still happy. I have done the same.

Years ago at a small xmas gathering, I was asked to make the chili. They had all had my chili, it's very basic but tasty. I decided to double the recipe to be sure there was enough for all. Instead of 1 pound of burger, two, etc. It was awful! No idea what went south, but I haven't been asked to make the chili since. How embarrassing.

After seeing your posts in the beer thread I was pretty sure you were a man of culture. Assuming you also have a GMG that only confirms it!

I do indeed have a GMG. I knew you had the GMG with those beautiful green wheels  If you followed the same bean recipe I did from a ways back in here, those will turn out damn good!

prob didnt know how to cook. Look at all the Wok cooking over propane...just gotta know how to time all of it. Shrimp is the fastest so it should be last to cook. Gotta have a good stir fry recipe, cant just throw some soy sauce in there and expect it to taste good.

I usually have to finish them off in the oven. But really wanted that smoke flavor. Little honey, butter, brown sugar, paprika and garlic/salt.
