HP Tuners for 2005-2015

Shalona Hill to Purg is a N/A 6-cylinder killer; 1FZ, 5VZ, 1GR. I should just be happy I'm not still trying to pull it in my 22RE!

 

Good datapoint! Again, all feedback is welcome. Doesn't sound like the VVTi changes are too popular with the butt-dynos If you guys like the stock mapping (VVTi) rock it! we'll readdress VVTi later

PS: Everyone is going to have slightly different tune versions, they're not consistent between folks, each truck I work with will get a slightly different version number depending on how much testing/tuning we've done.

Running to Purg I shift down and run 4000 rpm in the 80. The big 6 can take it!

Edit: above Silverton on the Alpine Loop in November. Don’t get in a hurry. This is why turbo is the plan.

With everything you've done, I feel like the very least I can do is provide you with relevant feedback. I feel like I still don't have enough windshield time to do that. Some data logging between the two versions on the same stretch of road vs. just trying to feel what the hill is telling me on only two passes (with potential head wind, temperature, and all the other variables) is what I need to provide you. I'll try to knock that out this weekend.

 

Not for one second did I think any of you were ungrateful! Just to be clear feedback that isn't "glowing" is just as welcome as the good stuff! I welcome it all, it's how we can all learn and develop this platform.

Thanks to @JustDSM. Did some live data transfer with him. Hoping it will be a reference point to help others. I just tried to not crash. Damn, this thing had more go than ever. Seriously had a tough time slowing it down on a regular course. Thanks again justdsm!

So whats the process for datalogging without the pc connected? I dont enjoy having to hook up my pc everytime i want to do something so itd be easier to log on my way to work/home. Will it do 2 vehicles this way? I want to dial in my gto which UG doesnt display LT or they are always zero ST jumps up to 18 sometimes..

 

Do you have the MPVI2 Pro version? Apparently you can log data without a laptop if you have the Pro version. If not, you're stuck rolling around with the laptop perched somewhere.

I used a Home Depot yard sprinkler 4” cap off and then RTVd it to the inner fender. I can snap a pic if you like.

 

I have the pro version and I haven't figured out how to log without the laptop yet

 

I have a feeling I will be upgrading to the Pro Version as soon as I finish moving and closing on a new house.

 

Wow. This new tune setup is so nice. Truck just all around performance is very smooth. Feels incredible. I need to focus on being consistent to check mileage. I know its improved.

 

Pro here too. Haven’t seen anything about logging without the laptop. Would be cool tho.
