I'm not doing research for people. Plenty of examples of people right on this forum who did their 3rd gen clutches and everything looked like burnt toast.

Ya but they are asking F150 money at a certain point.

Some reasons why you should buy the Ranger.
    1. You will love how the back seat folds up and has plenty of storage below and how the back seat folds down to create a "semi-flat load surface."
    2. You will enjoy slamming the seat back into place multiple times to get it to "lock." You may even get to "adjust" it yourself with a utility knife.
    3. The Ecoboost wastegate vibration that will appear around 20k miles is awesome for your friends to listen to.
    4. The piped in turbo noise through the audio system is awesome.
    5. Trying to get you passenger doors to close evenly is lots of fun.
    6. The front bucket seat is great if you weigh 300 lbs.
    7. Tracking down the mysterious radiator coolant leaks is very entertaining.
    8. It has been out globally since 2011, so plenty of time to get it right. Oh yeah, a whole new Ranger will be out in 2021.

Better hurry and go get it while it still costs more than a similarly equipped F150.

I honestly didn’t think there were seats out there that could possibly be worse than Tacoma’s. In order to avoid my leg from cramping I have to push the seat so far back that my shoulder almost dislocates when I steer.

I’d like to meet the orangutan Toyota uses to “fit” these seats for.

Every time I sit in someone else’s car it’s a reminder of how terrible the front seats are in the Tacoma.

Like how our trucks have been out for years and nothing performance wise has been offered besides OVtune. Little depressing..

Ovtune isn't even really for performance. It's a $700 tune to just try to get the truck to run right. THAT's the depressing part. $700 in tuning for an Audi or VW gets you at least 50 more HP.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I agree -- from the little I know -the life of any vehicles' clutch is in a great part determined by who is driving the said vehicle!
I bought a 89 Toyota Camry 4cyl that had a almost dead clutch - at 101K -it's second defective clutch . the only owner told me about it -- he stated "you know my wife could never get the hang of driving a standard trans- sorry about that". They were in their 80's.

I say buy one and go on meetups and adventures with other TW enthusiasts; drive theirs and let them drive yours. Then y’all can make a massive thread where everyone can talk about it *a lot* and give the Go Fast thread a run for its money.

(My manual ‘98 Mazda/Ranger cab+ with a 2.5L four banger was still kicking in 2017 when I bought my SR5.)

There several selling points for the Tacoma vs Ranger in favor of the Tacoma but I don’t think you want to go the seat route...

My throwout bearing and clutch had failed at 13k miles!....

...Oh wait this is TacomaWorld, not the Jeep JK forums. I’ve logged nearly half a million miles between my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen manual Tacomas. Never had a single issue with the clutch or TOB. Put up proof on the 3rd gens or hush up.
