I dont think any game has ever made me more of a nervous wreck than this one hahaha, I am super pleased with the outcome though

 

Lol he still was amazing. I was rooting for them, just because I like him. Sucks but he had a pretty great playoffs, outside of a game here and there. Good game though, very exciting. Good for the Blues. What a turn-around for them.

Can SJ please win tonight so that there is at least 1 team that I am a fan of. If they lose then I guess I'd root for Carolina but really by default, I don't consider myself a fan of any of the other teams lol. Of course I will still watch regardless. Go Sharks.

 

I’d be really curious to see the Canadian NHL TV numbers with this set of teams. I spent last week on the road for work and in Regina, Calgary, and Edmonton the downtown bars were empty for game time which is not a good sign. With the teams that are left I’m having issues giving two shits about this playoff run. I mean if SJ is out then the steaming pile that’s left is going to play good hockey but I couldn’t care who wins and I think that’s the attitude of a lot of folks out there.

 

I thought hockey is Canada's game? I watch hockey even though my team isn't playing because I am not a cunt and I love playoff hockey.

 

So do I. I’m noticing the sports bars on the road seem a little empty and I can’t help wondering if the storylines going into the third round aren’t a little thin for that large fringe fan base that exists for the NHL.

The only team left that I’d like to see win a cup is SJ, I feel like they are owed one for just missing so many times lol.

 

My order of preference would be SJ, then STL, then a meteor strike obliterating all life from the planet. Then I guess the Canes and then the Bruins.

Oh wait, I forgot that SJ has to beat the Avs tonight so yeah.

 

I feel like there are 2 sides to it. 1, I can see how even the first round took out a lot of the major players and big fan bases (Tor, Pit, Wash, Cal, Winn, Nash etc). But at the same time, maybe it is good to get some new teams in there to generate interest. Carolina seemed to be a struggling area as of late, so this year really got the team back to relevance etc. So it is good to see that and can help the areas that need it. Even Columbus advancing as far as they did is probably good for that city/franchise (even though they will still prob lose everyone in free agency lol). Would be cool to get a new(ish) Cup winner. So I'm just hoping Boston doesn't win. They have won recently and that area in general is just annoying.

 

Nice jinx! Let me try ... The Sharks will destroy the Avs on home ice. Game 7 is going to be an all out teal jokeathon. Put the bank on Jones and SJ in Vegas for the ultimate payout. Say hi to golden shower fans while there and collect tears for the cause.

I can’t believe how much coverage the Raptors are getting lol. You can tell it’s painful for the radio guys in Calgary to talk basketball.

 

There is no doubt that for the Avalanche and Hurricanes this playoff run is huge. Both teams were struggling a bit with attendance and the front office for both seemed shaky at best. It’s good for the league for those teams to go deep.
