My .22 rifle is quiet as a mouse.

 

Yeah, I could always go with subsonic ammo and it would be even quieter.
No supersonic crack to it.
But as it is, I gotta place the shot well on a groundhog to be ethical about it.
I'd worry about effectiveness.

 

Let's see, In the cab I have a dog bed, her blanket and some tennis balls. Flashlight and extra batteries. Little knife in the console to open letters, big knife in the door cubby for opening rude drive-up window clerks. (Not really). A bag of cough drops. roll of paper towels, first aid kit, toilet paper, bottle of water for the pooch. Leash and collar with tag and vaccine tag for when some jerk park ranger makes me put it on her. phone charging cord, sunglasses, jacket, Indiana Jones hat I only wear when hiking. Extra powder, caps and lead for my BP pistol. I think that's all.

In the back I have all the usual rescue gear, tools, duct tape, shovel, etc.

 

I honestly dont know what kind of ammo I have for it. Its been years since I shot the thing. And my S&W 4506 has never been fired .

I need to go out to the range this summer and actually try it out.
