There's nothing with Wal Mart, now Target on the other hand is nothing but basic white, 4Runner/Forrester driving women that wish to live in Colorado Springs or Beaverton thinking they have the moral high ground in buying the same Chinese stuff under better lighting with the same under paid staff.

If you put it that way...

I live exactly one mile away by road from a Supercenter.
And I can see it from my house on the mountainside.
    WalMart is A-Okay by me.
They can't help it that people are slobs these days.

It kind of goes with the lies people tell others:

My 401k is full funded, I only bang tens, my cholesterol is perfect, my BMI is perfect, I don't eat at McDonald's, My pecker is on point and needs no accelerants, My 3rd gen gets 28 MPG, etc

I checked the obituaries and my name's not on it. I guess that means I gotta get up.

Yeah, when they don't even own the pot they piss in.
(Another one of my grandfather's more cynical observations).

Most people are living paycheck to paycheck, if you can believe MarketWatch articles.
They carry over balances on their credit cards.
And many don't even have $400 bucks cash in hand to cover an emergency.
The saying "trying to keep up with the Joneses" has been around a lot longer than me.

Just yesterday was this article on MarketWatch:

    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...e-for-retirement-2019-05-08?mod=hp_retirement

Seems to me that far too many people have a spending problem, and not so much an income problem.

People who don't like Walmart must have never been there. They sell name-brand stuff at usually lower prices. I don't care what anyone else wears to go shopping. I just get my stuff and go. They are probably taking pics of me to post on the Walmart weirdos sites.

Everyone wants to feel superior, so it seems.
And that, my friends, is itself more worthy of ridicule than most anything I can think of.

That said, some things are hard to ignore.
Might as well have a laugh. :p
