Working on a DIY plow disc cooker for my buddy. Cleaning off the paint and trying to get out some of the bigger pits.. Killed my angle grinder, it's had a long life so no complaints except that's just another thing to add to my list.

    *pulled from another thread
When smoke comes out of your grinder it's time to take a break right? I thought the wight flecks were from the sanding disc, I think it may be gears... I can't touch it without gloves on right now. 60 grit Benchmark abrasives disc.

    20mins later still too hot

Bearings seem fine, on the smaller side but in decent shape. I've had this thing for like 10yrs. The plastic in the windings started to melt. Once it cooled I put it together again and got another 10mins out of it

Didn't seem to look bad, again didn't look super close at it. Something heats up bad and stinks! Until it dies. I think it's time for another $20

I was hoping for CMC with the feeler plate, for the cleaner look.
It's 100% lack of skill lol

Honestly, this is my first brand new vehicle. So I would never do any cutting on this with my skill level. I actually paid a shop way too much money, just for the lift install. Now I've had the truck for a year and it seems to be rubbing more than I feel like it used to. I don't do any kind of wheeling or anything. Just rubs at a hard turn, especially reverse.

Who wants to take bets on my new grinder being beat to shit upon arrival?

Did you put aftermarket UCAs on when you did the lift? If so go and get an alignment done with as much camber as possible. Then see if it still rubs. If so figure out where it may just be the plastics.

@Cmill26 ask for zero toe, zero camber, and 2.5-3.0 caster

I'm ready to go back to bed. Work is a stupid circus of management(non technical peeps) types trying to solve technical problems by sending emails...

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
This is the same reason I intentionally drop all my brand new stuff and get over it. Just kidding, I understand. I will close on my house in Apex at the end of May/beginning of June. It will take a little bit to get my stuff setup but I can cut and weld the CMC for you.

I have to figure out how to build a porch and some minor construction for the wifey too.

Not new, just the new HOT ITEM (or whatever BS term they have wasted time coming up with) because they've ignored the techies and pushed bad performing shit to production. Bad performing shit that they came to us asking us to change our numbers so it looks better.. When I refused they just asked for different numbers from files that looked better but don't describe performance.
